How to Make Pleasure a Lifestyle

Do You Really Think Sex Coaches Have Sex Every Day?

I get this question all the time:
Olawunmi, as a sex coach, do you have sex every day?

The answer might surprise you.
No, I don’t. But what I do every day is nurture pleasure in my body.

And that distinction matters more than most people realize.

Sex and pleasure are not the same thing

Many people assume that intimacy only happens when sex is happening. But pleasure is much broader and far more powerful.

Pleasure is what keeps your body open, responsive, and alive.

It’s in:

  • The warmth of a hug
  • The softness of your partner’s touch
  • Shared laughter
  • A deep breath that relaxes your body
  • The feeling of safety and connection

When pleasure becomes part of your everyday life, sex stops feeling forced or transactional. It becomes an extension of connection, not a performance you have to prepare for.

Why pleasure needs to be a lifestyle, not an event

When pleasure is limited to sex, pressure builds.

You start to expect sex to:

  • Carry an emotional connection
  • Release stress
  • Prove intimacy
  • Create desire instantly

That’s a lot to place on one experience.

But when pleasure is woven into daily life, your body stays receptive. Desire doesn’t have to be switched on suddenly; it’s already warm.

This is why many couples struggle, not because they don’t love their husband, but because pleasure has been neglected outside the bedroom.
